Door frames carry the weight of the opening — every glance, every pass-through. This is a short clip from our workshop showing how ARTDSN’s brushed champagne gold stainless steel door frames come together on the bench: long extruded profiles, cut to length, ready for bending and TIG welding, with the protective film still in place.

Where it lands in the room

The profile below is a typical ARTDSN installation: a brushed champagne gold door frame wrapping a floor-to-ceiling balcony opening, paired with dark grey aluminium window frames and warm tile flooring. The brushed grain runs vertically along the jambs and horizontally across the head, so the highlight reads cleanly along every edge — even under low-angle evening light.

Cross-section profiles available

One piece of stainless steel can become a door frame in five different ways. The profiles below are the ones we keep on the floor and ship most often. Each is cut from 304 stainless steel, bent on a CNC press brake, and TIG-welded at the corners before going through PVD titanium gold ion plating.

How we make it

304 stainless coil is slitted, then profiled on a roll-former to give the long hollow section its shape. After profiling, each length is CNC-cut to the opening’s exact height, the corners are bent on a press brake, and the joint is TIG-welded and ground flush. The brushed finish is applied after welding — the grain direction is set deliberately so the highlight follows the long edge of the frame, not the weld.

Only after the brushed face passes inspection does the frame go into the PVD chamber. The titanium gold vacuum ion plating locks the colour into the surface, gives the frame its fingerprint-resistant sheen, and lets us colour-match frame-to-frame across the same batch.
