Project Overview
The Xiamen Grand Ballroom project involved the supply and installation of precision-engineered stainless steel trim strips across all major entrance doors, wall paneling transitions, and architectural detailing. The total project value reached approximately ¥450,000 RMB, reflecting the premium quality and custom engineering required for a venue of this caliber.
Custom Profile Engineering
Three distinct stainless steel profile geometries were developed and manufactured to meet the architect’s exact specifications:
- Large Wall Panel Trim: U-shaped profile measuring 800 x 100 mm — deployed as the primary door frame surround, creating a bold, commanding presence.
- Medium Transition Strip: U-shaped profile at 200 x 20 mm — used for secondary panel transitions and architectural joint covers.
- L-Bracket Trim: 50 x 50 mm L-shaped profile — applied at corner transitions and edge terminations for a clean, refined finish.
Material & Finish
All trim profiles were fabricated from high-grade stainless steel with a luxurious gold/bronze PVD finish. The warm metallic tone was carefully coordinated with the venue’s existing marble wall panels, blue-and-gold carpet, and ornate door hardware to create a cohesive, high-end aesthetic throughout the ballroom corridor and entrance zone.
Installation Details
The custom door frames were engineered for a seamless flush-mount installation, ensuring the stainless steel trims integrate perfectly with the marble wall panels without any visible exposed fasteners. Each profile was measured, fabricated, and installed to exact tolerances to maintain visual continuity across the entire ballroom façade.
